  • Can Ascend be used for sports?

    No, Ascend is designed to support everyday activities such as walking, going up and down steps, getting up from or sitting down on a bench, squatting or kneeling. It is not intended to be used for high intensity-sports or activities such as running, tennis, football, basketball, etc.

  • Can I try Ascend before buying?

    Yes, we are offering opportunities to try ascend at our Test Drive Center in San Francisco. To make an appointment, first complete our questionnaire to see if you're qualified.

  • Is Ascend medically approved?

    Ascend is a class I FDA registered device. We encourage that you talk to your doctor to see if Ascend is right for your needs and medical conditions.

  • Is Ascend covered by insurance? Which insurance companies?

    Yes, Ascend has a reimbursement code recommended by Medicare. Reimbursement and your out-of-pocket cost will vary based on your insurance plan and coverage policy. Most insurance providers will follow medicare guidelines.

  • What type of activities does Ascend support?

    Ascend is designed to support your daily activities and common movements like walking, kneeling, sitting on and standing up from a chair, and going up & down stairs.

  • Will Ascend help with arthritis in the knees?

    Ascend provides a safe, non-invasive and non-surgical option for pain relief and mobility constraints related to osteoarthritis, knee instability, and/or weak quadriceps
